Setup

# Can I tell first-time customers apart in my calendar?

Updated October 26, 2026 1 min read

Yes, with nothing to set up: when an appointment is that customer’s first one in your calendar, the “New” label shows next to their name. Cancelled appointments don’t count. You see it in every calendar view and in the appointment details.

**If a returning customer shows as “New”**

The usual cause is that they have two records, for example because they booked with another phone number. In **Clients**, the “Possible duplicate records” notice lets you review and merge them; merging joins their history and they stop showing as “New”.

**Calendar colors**

With several resources, each appointment’s color is that of its professional or resource, and the status is shown by the shape. With a single resource, the color shows the status. Don’t create a resource just to color a type of appointment: a resource is a bookable calendar with its own availability.

**How many new customers you have**

In **Analytics → Clients**, the “First-time clients” card counts customers whose first visit falls in the selected period.
