How do I make my Google Calendar events block time in CitaFlow?
Turn on reading from Google for the calendar you want: its events come into CitaFlow and those slots stop being offered for new bookings. You do it in Settings → Integrations → Calendars (only the owner sees it, from the browser).
If Google Calendar is already connected
- On the Google Calendar card, click the gear icon.
- Under “Calendars”, tick “Use” on the calendar you want to read.
- In “Professional or resource”, choose who it blocks, or “Whole business”.
- In “Direction”, choose “Google → CitaFlow (events block time slots)” or “Both directions”.
- Tick “I understand that CitaFlow will read all events in these calendars, including personal ones, to block time slots.” and click “Save calendars”.
If you haven’t connected it yet
Click “Connect Calendar”, choose Google and, under “Sync type”, pick “Bidirectional (CitaFlow ↔ Google)”. This reads the events of the whole-business calendar; afterwards you can adjust each calendar as above.
What to expect
- Events can take up to about 15 minutes to arrive. Each calendar shows “Last read” or, if it hasn’t been read yet, “Waiting for the first read”.
- Each event comes in as an appointment that takes that slot. An event only brings a title and a time, so no reminder is sent unless you write the customer’s phone or email in the event (in the description, in the title or by inviting them).
- It also works if another program pushes its appointments into your Google Calendar: those times become busy in CitaFlow.
