Can I put a service on a waiting list instead of showing available times?

1 min read

Yes. Turn on “Waiting list” on the service: it still shows on your website, the chatbot and the voice assistant, but it can’t be booked through them and the client can sign up.

How to turn it on

  1. Go to “My Business” → “Resources & Services” → “Services” and edit the service.
  2. Turn on “Waiting list”, below “Channel visibility”.
  3. Save.

What the client sees

When they ask for that service, they are told there is no availability right now and offered to sign up with their name and a phone number or an email.

What you get

  • Each person who signs up reaches you as a note in “Pending”, and via Telegram or notification if you have them turned on.
  • Next to the service name you’ll see “Waiting list · N”, with the people still pending. Click it to see the list: name, contact, the channel they signed up through and when.
  • In the list you change the “Status”: “Pending”, “Contacted”, “Booked” or “Discarded”.
  • You can still book them by hand from the calendar.

Offering freed-up slots

The list doesn’t notify anyone by itself: you call them. If you want freed-up slots to be offered, turn on “Offer freed slots to the waiting list” in “My Business” → “Settings”. When a future appointment for that service is cancelled, the slot is offered by email to the first pending people and whoever confirms first gets it. It doesn’t apply to services with payment in advance or to people who left no email.

Back to normal

Turn off “Waiting list” on the service. People already on the list stay there until you mark them.
