Getting started

How can I migrate my customers from my current software into CitaFlow?

1 min read

Yes—customer migration is often possible as long as your current system lets you export the data. You do not need to use a specific platform; the key is being able to generate a file with customer details and, if relevant, appointments.

What you need

Look in your current software for an option such as:

  • Export
  • Download data
  • Export customers
  • Export appointments
  • CSV / Excel

This is usually found in customers, calendar, or reports.

Which file types usually work

The most common formats are:

  • CSV
  • Excel (.xlsx)
  • Other exportable table-based formats

If your system can generate one of these, CitaFlow support can review whether it can be imported.

Best practices before exporting

To make the migration smoother:

  • Check that names and phone numbers are complete.
  • Remove duplicates if your software allows it.
  • Export customers and appointments separately if both are available.
  • If you run multiple locations, try to identify which branch each customer or booking belongs to.

What to do next

  1. Export the data from your current software.
  2. Save the file without editing it if you are unsure about the structure.
  3. Send it to CitaFlow support for review.
  4. The team will confirm whether it can be imported directly or whether any adjustments are needed.

If you cannot find the export option

Some systems hide this feature or restrict it depending on your plan. If you do not see it:

  • Search your provider’s help center for export.
  • Check customers, calendar, reports, or settings.
  • Ask their support team whether data export is available.

In short: if you can export your data into a file, there is a good chance it can be migrated into CitaFlow.
